Strategic Plan Modification

 

The South Plains Regional Workforce Development Board (d.b.a. WorkForce Solutions South Plains) is seeking public comment regarding the Fiscal Year 2010 strategic and operational plan which sets forth the objectives and key strategies that will direct the business of the Board for the period from October 1, 2009 through September 30, 2010.  The South Plains Regional Workforce Development Area consists of Bailey, Cochran, Crosby, Dickens, Floyd, Garza, Hale, Hockley, King, Lamb, Lubbock, Lynn, Motley, Terry and Yoakum Counties.  Programs offered by WorkForce Solutions South Plains are funded in part by allocations received from the Texas Workforce Commission under the Workforce Investment Act.

 

The public may access a draft of the proposed plan Monday-Friday, 8a.m. to 5p.m. at the WorkForce Solutions South Plains Administrative Office located at 1301 Broadway Ste. 201, Lubbock, Texas 79401 or by contacting WorkForce Solutions at (806) 744-1987.  A draft of the plan may also be accessed via the Board’s website at http://www.spworkforce.org/FY2010PlanDraft.pdf.

Individuals interested in providing input for the plan may make public comments at the Board’s regular meeting scheduled for Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. in the Board’s administrative office.  Written public comments regarding the plan may be delivered or mailed to the address listed above or e-mailed to maria.keenmon@spworkforce.org.  

 

The deadline for public comments is 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2009.
