Child Care

Workforce Solutions South Plains offers child care assistance within our 15 county area to help low income families pay for child care while they work, go to school or participate in a job training program to become self-sufficient. Customers receiving child care assistance must meet federal, state, and local guidelines in order to qualify for child care assistance.

The amount the parent must pay is based on the parent’s gross income, size of the family and the number of children receiving care. Families must be income eligible and working or in school or training for a minimum of 25 hours per week for a single parent household and 50 hours per week for a two parent household to be eligible to receive services.

Workforce Solutions Child Care Services strives to promote quality child care throughout our fifteen county area by offering the following:

  • Betty Anderson Resource Room
  • Trainings that may be applied to your licensing requirements
  • A mobile resource room (Frog bus)  to deliver to our rural providers
